Standing Tall
I am an American and I stand tall.
You can see me inside any concert hall.
I am the one yelling at children's baseball games.
I am the one who still for freedom proclaims.
You can see me eating at the hot dog stands.
You will see me salute to the Air Force bands.
I am the one who cries for the aborted babies dear.
I am the mother who has shed many a tear.
I am the grandmother who gives to the poor.
I am the scientist who searches for a cure.
I am the soldier who fights for freedom for all.
I am the Chaplain who makes the heartbreaking call.
I am the doctor who stand by the sick person's bed.
I am the hungry child who's stomach has not been fed.
I am the Navy sailor who sails on ships to war.
I am the young man who enlists in the United States Marine Corps.
I am the fireman who holds a burned baby in his arms.
I am the President who sounds the nations alarms.
I am the bugle who sounds the Army's lonely notes of taps.
I was the child in the twin towers when it collapsed.
I am the man who penned the Declaration of Independence.
I am the friend who gives his brother another chance.
I am the flag that waves over America still.
I was one of the men at battle of Bunker Hill.
I am the woman who's hands stitched the flags white stars.
I am the man whose fingers strum on the wooden guitars.
I am the singer who entertains our American Troops.
I am the hunter who quietly shoots.
I am an American sailing on freedoms seas.
I am an American praying freely on bended knee.
I am an American in submarines under the sea.
I am an American and I stand for Sweet Liberty.
Yes I am an American standing tall.
My ancestor's pictures are hanging on museum walls.
I am an American and in God I trust no matter what befalls.
I am an American and I proudly stand tall.

Petals of Poetry
I sit watching the leaves fall outside my window.
Time is steadily passing by and I am helpless to stop it.
The waves still rush to the shore, the tide in constant flow.
Still I wonder if you ever think of me as I near the window sit.
Petals fall to the earth in colors of yellow and gold.
The breeze carries them as I watch them float.
It reminds me of the times underneath that tree you I would hold.
Long ago it was my heart your love smote.
Where are you now, I need to know?
Do you ever think of me and the love we shared?
If I were an angel I would fly and to you I would go.
Angels tread where lovers once dared.
Oh the petals of love and the grip they hold on me.
I see you in every rose as I walk by.
I see you in the petal on the blossoms in the apple tree.
Oh, how I love you and I still wonder why?
You took my precious petals of love.
Petals that only fall once in a lifetime.
Soft are the feathers and snow white as the dove.
With words I pen precious petals in rhyme.
Walk with me just once more
Kiss away the cold.
Promise me forever you'll never leave my door.
Petals of poetry are forever ours to hold.

Always and Forever
In the still of the night as darkness surrounds me
I picture you holding me, your arms so strong.
How can I ever tell you the years I've loved you?
It seems like an eternity I have for you longed.
Sleep with me on my pillow and let me feel you.
Let me kiss your sweet lips and tell you I'll always be here.
Let me breathe upon your ear, whispering love so sincere.
Tho time has taken you away now beside me you are near.
Taste as see that I am still the same.
Whisper my name in your sleep and then say I love you over again.
Watch over me as I drift into sleep, your arms locked around me.
Kiss me every now and then.
I loved you when you were shy and bashful too.
Oh how I longed for you like rushing water from the streams.
Our paths crossed then you were gone from me forever it seems
Alas, I now have you still captured in my dreams.
Always and forever you are mine.
Always and forever you are like the creeping vine.
Always and forever I will love you.
Always and forever until the end of time.

I am a Christian first of all. It is my desire to use my talent to
spread the Gospel to every nation through poetry. I am not a Preacher,
nor an Evangelist that stands and preaches the Word. I am a published
author, writer and poet. My poetry comes from my heart and I hope and
pray that you will see my love for Jesus in my work. God gave me a
seed and He said " Go and sow it!" There you have it from the lips of a
poet.
I have two websites filled with my poetry. Please visit.
I pray you will leave blessed!
Sealed by Jesus,
